THE TECHNIQUES
Primarily, Zom-Fu techniques consist of grappling, clinching, grasping, grabbing, seizing, wrapping-up, gripping, squeezing, clutching, clasping, holding, snatching, constricting, gnawing and biting. Yes, biting. While conventional defense programs and dojos shy away from using every part of your body, teeth included, Zom-Fu considers teeth an essential part of the total weapons system, and embraces this natural and effective force option choice. While it is true that Zom-Fu-Do teaches physical movements and techniques, it is within these movements that the practitioner will glean the proper mindset, leading to Fugue de Mortis. The external will shape the internal.
Zom-Fu’s success also relies on the element of surprise. It is always preferable to remain concealed until the very last moment, at which time the power of Zom-Fu-Do should be unleashed and result in a terrifying and explosive attack. This concealment can be gained through remaining still in the element of darkness, hiding oneself in a trunk or lidded box, floating bloatedly in a pool of water, or in any number of other unassuming positions that may lure a potential opponent closer out of curiosity or concern.
Zom-Fu practitioners understand that within the martial arts community, never seen before, innovative methods are typically first met with ridicule, then anger, and then with the, “Oh, we knew that all along,” attitude. Zom-fuists accept this reality, and are not troubled by it. It is the natural order of the human condition. The martial arts community will learn to digest it eventually.
After all, Zom-Fu-Do is our future . . .
